Bursaries and Scholarships

Pro Corda tries to ensure that no student is turned away because of financial barriers so do check out below the section on Bursaries to see if they may be able to help. There are also Scholarships available on a merit basis – read on for more details.

Bursaries

Pro Corda tries to ensure that no student is turned away because of financial barriers so long as there is, in the view of the Trustees, a real need. The Trustees assess each case individually on a means tested basis. Students are encouraged to explore other sources of funding before applying for a Pro Corda bursary, for example, Help Musicians UKThe Wrightson TrustFuture Talent and Awards for Young Musicians.

To enquire about Bursaries please contact Pro Corda on 01728 831354

Scholarships

Pro Corda can offer a partial scholarship award to students based on merit towards the fees of Prep, Primary, Junior, Intermediate, Senior, North and West courses.

Students must send a letter of application explaining why they will be good ambassadors for Pro Corda initially to Annabel Thwaite, Director of Core Courses with links to a performance of two contrasting pieces via Dropbox, WeTransfer etc. Please note that students can normally only apply for this award once.
