What are Performing Arts Weekends?
Pro Corda are delighted to be providers of residential weekend short-breaks for young people with additional needs and disabilities up to age 25 in Suffolk.
Performing Arts Weekends are held at Pro Corda’s home, Leiston Abbey, and are booked by families and carers for individual students to join.
"It’s amazing how much the weekends have helped Robert to develop his self-confidence over the years and to bring out his love of music and performing."

What happens during the weekend?
Each weekend is based on the Create Together ethos which immerses participants in the magical world of Musical Theatre to develop leadership and responsibility through communication and creativity to build confidence and self-esteem.
Participants of the Activities Unlimited weekend develop social skills and are given the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with other young people outside of their immediate social circle. Many of our Activities Unlimited participants see Leiston Abbey as their second home!
“Jessica has blossomed so much since she has been attending Pro Corda- she is a changed woman. She was shy and quiet and now she is confident and plays with ease and is progressing so well. She even went on to win the Kenny Pike Cup (young musician of the year)”
