Bursaries and Scholarships
Pro Corda tries to ensure that no student is turned away because of financial barriers so do check out below the section on Bursaries to see if they may be able to help. There are also Scholarships available on a merit basis – read on for more details.
Bursaries
Pro Corda tries to ensure that no student is turned away because of financial barriers so long as there is, in the view of the Trustees, a real need. The Trustees assess each case individually on a means tested basis.
Pro Corda can recommend other sources of funding for families alongside our own bursaries, for example Help Musicians UK, The Wrightson Trust, Future Talent and Awards for Young Musicians.
Please contact Andrew Quartermain for details of the Pro Corda Bursary Scheme by clicking the button here.
If you’re ready to apply then click the second button to make your application.
Scholarships
A number of scholarships are available towards the fees of Prep&Primary, Junior, Senior, Advanced and North courses. Students are only considered for this after they have been accepted by the course director, and they are awarded at the discretion of Andrew Quartermain, CEO.
Students must send a letter of application (in PDF format please) explaining why they are deserving of a scholarship, including their experience and future plans. Please send the application to Annabel Thwaite using the button here.
Included with the application, must be a link to a performance of two contrasting pieces. The links can be via Dropbox, WeTransfer or Google Drive. There is no required video length, but please consider your pieces carefully so that they demonstrate a strong stylistic understanding and performance awareness. Please note that students can normally only apply for this award once.
