Bursaries

All courses other than SEN & Musical Encounters:

To download a Bursary Form, please click on the link in the Downloads Section in the right hand column. Fill in the form and then post it to Pro Corda, Leiston Abbey, Theberton, Leiston, Suffolk, IP16 4TD.

Pro Corda tries to ensure that no student will be turned away because of lack of funding so long as there is, in the view of the Trustees, a real financial need. The Trustees assess each case individually. Students are encouraged to explore other sources of funding before applying for a Pro Corda bursary.

Musical Encounters

The fees quoted above are net of a bursary which is awarded automatically to Students between the ages of 18 and 26 and young professional musicians under 26.

Special Educational Needs

Pro Corda does not offer bursaries but works with schools to raise charitable funding in appropriate cases.

Insurance

All musical instruments should be insured against damage or theft. Pro Corda regrets the Trust cannot take responsibility for any loss or damage to personal possessions during courses.

Cancellation

All cancellations must be made in writing. Pro Corda will refund 50% of the course fee providing notice of cancellation has been received at least 6 weeks prior to the first day of a course. No fees will be refunded in respect of cancellations notified less than 6 weeks prior to the first day of a course other than in cases of illness. If a student is prevented from attending a course by illness the Trustees may at their discretion refund up to 50% of the course fee on receipt of a written request from parents accompanied by a doctor's certificate.
